You can fish by the river, lake and Put & Take – and a lot of fish are caught in the area and those that are not caught are widely reported. A good fishing story tends to get a little better every time it is told…
In the area around Holmens Camping you will undoubtedly find East Jutland's best and most beautiful 4-star Put and Take lakes... Yes, perhaps some of Denmark's best and most beautiful!
However, we do not guarantee a win every time, but we do guarantee perfect surroundings and good experiences for everyone.
Holmen's Put and Take lakes are a natural element of the surrounding water system and are a place where you can spend many wonderful hours.
Sea fishing in East Jutland
Holmens Camping in East Jutland has more or less Gudensø and Ry Møllesø in the backyard, and the forest-surrounded lakes have excellent fishing waters with a diverse wildlife. You can sail directly from the site or fish from the shore.
Fishing from a boat in the lakes is more popular than ever. The lakes are part of the Gudenå system which stretches through most of East Jutland – and the lakes offer beautiful scenery and plenty of experiences.

Guests
Even if you don't live at the campsite, you are welcome to come and fish. You just need to purchase a fishing license.

The fishing lakes are open until the end of September, provided we can keep them ice-free. They will reopen together with the campsite on March 27, 2026.
In the store you will also find a small selection of fishing tackle and accessories.
Fishing from a boat
The forest-surrounded lakes, Ry Møllesø and Gudensø, are excellent fishing waters. You can sail out directly from the site and enjoy the magnificent nature and diverse wildlife.
The water is clear and there is a rich variety of fish species. The lakes are part of the Gudenå system, and you can always find a new fishing opportunity.
Varied fishing
The fishing is exciting and varied in the stream's eternal flow, the depth of the lake and the reed vegetation on the shore provide opportunities to vary the fishing experiences.
